Synopsis

The east has gifted the world with wisdom for self-mastery. Ancient mystic texts like the Gita are considered solutions manuals for life. This book showcases this timeless, universal wisdom in a unique 21st century setting, giving the world simple practical solutions. Like in the Gita, it is a conversation between an ordinary individual, Jiva, and his doctor, Dr. Shankar, who also becomes his spiritual guide. The story starts with a dispirited Jiva turning to his doctor for counsel on a war waging within him. The doctor cum Guru then reveals the five root causes of misery and the three buckets all problems fall into: Health, Wealth and Relationships. Convincingly, the doctor expounds that only holistic solutions for happiness, encompassing the body, mind and spirit, are sustainable.  A synthesis of three ingredients is given by the doctor both, as a prescription for Jiva's despondence, as well as, the way to liberation.

Will Jiva emerge victorious in the war within? Will the doctor's key to wisdom lead Jiva to self-mastery in attaining that freedom and bliss within?
